MPEG AUDIO Sisvel has the right to grant licenses for the use of several patent families concerning the MPEG Audio standard, the well-known digital processing standard for compressing the audio signal and converting it in a digital form.

In particular we are authorised to grant licenses for the use of the patents on set-top-boxes , mp3 players , hardware testing equipment and audio software/hardware for personal computers.

Such patents allow the use of the most sophisticated processing techniques, like the application of the psychoacoustic model for eliminating any redundant sound because inaudible by the human ear. They regard all the layers of the standard and are compulsory for complying with the ISO standard.
