The Sisvel Wireless Patents have been declared essential to second, third and fourth-generation communications standards such as GSM, WCDMA and LTE, thus covering technologies used in a wide range of mobile communications devices and services.
Products with cellular connectivity make use of the Sisvel Wireless Patents. Examples of such products are: mobile phones, smartphones, mobile hotspots, tablets, e-book readers, laptops and M2M devices.
Companies commercializing products with cellular connectivity require a license under the Sisvel Wireless Patents.
The remaining portion of the portfolio consists of implementation patents including video encoding optimization technologies.
Sisvel is offering licenses under the Sisvel Wireless Patents on fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory (FRAND) conditions.
