Sisvel Germany announced today that the terms and conditions of its DVB-T2 Licensing Program have been revised to comprise new categories of licensed products. 

Sisvel’s DVB-T2 program offers a license to essential patents owned by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), DTVG Licensing, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V., RAI – Radiotelevisione Italiana S.p.A, TDF S.A.S. and IMT Atlantique (ex Telecom Bretagne and member of IMT: Institut Mines Telecom ex GET).

The licensing program, previously limited to consumer decoder products, has now been extended to cover both professional and consumer products which comprise either or both

• - a DVB-T2 transmitting, encoding or modulating functionality (“Encoder function”) and/or;
• - a DVB-T2 receiving, decoding or demodulating functionality (“Decoder function”)
