Sisvel VP9/AV1 patent pools in the news

Patent pools are widely considered an efficient mechanism to acquire rights to patented technologies, but few researchers have estimated the value of that efficiency. Here we show the results of a research published in a 2017 law journal article, by two law professors. There’s been some editorial coverage of the Sisvel VP9/AV1 pools and we wanted to provide a partial bibliography as of today to anyone interested in third-party perspectives of the pools.
