Sisvel is pleased to announce its participation in the “Modernising SEP Licensing” conference, a half-day high-profile event organized by Charles River Associates in collaboration with Prof. Josef Drexl from the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, on January 28, 2025, in Brussels.

This conference is set to bring together renowned experts, including judges, policymakers, academics, and business representatives, to explore and debate the evolving landscape of Standard Essential Patent (SEP) licensing. The discussions will focus on the proposed SEP Regulation, its implications, and the broader geopolitical and jurisdictional interplay that shapes the global IP landscape.

David Muus, Head of Licensing at Sisvel, will join the panel for the session: “Rethinking SEP Licensing: Time for an Overhaul?”. This panel will delve into the pressing issues currently affecting SEP licensing, exploring their implications for EU SEP holders, manufacturers, and consumers.
