Sisvel is pleased to take part in the GTTI Annual Meeting 2026, taking place in Catania from 7–9 September 2026.

Organized by GTTI, the Italian association bringing together university professors and researchers working in the field of telecommunications, the event provides an important opportunity to discuss the technologies and research shaping the future of communications.

As part of the programme, Simone Bizzarri, Head of Standardization at Sisvel, will present: “Standardization activities for 6G: how research can contribute to the process”.

The session will explore the evolution of cellular communications towards 6G, with a focus on the standardization activities within 3GPP, the current state of the process and its expected timeline.

• The key differences between 5G and 6G

• Emerging technological innovations shaping the standardization process

• The role academic research can play in contributing to and interacting with standardization activities
