Luxembourg, May 22 2026: Deutsche Telekom, KDDI, Pegasus Wireless Solutions, Siemens and Vodafone have signed up to the Sisvel Point of Sale (POS) patent pool as licensors. They are the latest in a growing list of companies that have chosen to make their 2G-5G essential patent portfolios available through the market’s first joint licensing programme for payment terminals.

The pool launched in April with founding licensors Huawei, LG Electronics and Nokia. Other participating patent owners include Alfred Consulting, BlackBerry, Datang Mobile, JVCKENWOOD, KPN, KT Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric, NEC, Pantech, Quectel, Sisvel and SK Telecom.

The Sisvel POS programme was established to simplify licensing in an important and growing vertical. As more patent owners sign up, licensees can gain access to an increasingly comprehensive suite of cellular SEPs through a single agreement.
