Luxembourg, 20 August 2026: Sisvel has published the royalty rate structure for its POS patent pool, the premier cellular licensing solution for point of sale devices. This announcement follows extensive engagement with the market and a pool formation process that has seen 44 patent owners collectively holding more than 50% of cellular SEP families sign up as licensors.

Launched in early April with Huawei, LG Electronics and Nokia as founding licensors, the POS programme was created to provide one-stop access to cellular SEPs underpinning the technology deployed in POS devices. The market response has been emphatic: in the space of just four months the pool has become the largest that Sisvel has ever operated, in terms of both licensor and patent count.

Following research and market engagement, the Sisvel POS programme is offering pool licences on a per unit fee basis as outlined below:
